Karma counts.
I was not a atheist but I was not a complete believer of powers (black magic). My mother always said keep watching, God counts on each move. As I grew, I realized the move was called Karma. I might have stole something or damaged someones personality or betrayed someone and there is no one who notified it but the karma, if not you your loved one will suffer. Karma is an oscillation the love or hate you pour will be received by you. And that's the way of Karma.
