Love Vodka

The wind was cold,  the clouds are black. We are heading to my native Chikmangaluru. I was born and brought up there until my father had a transfer to Bengaluru. I with my mother and brother are visiting Chikmangluru for a wedding,  an old neighbor of us.  Oh wait,  did I introduce about me?  No ? Well , I'm Rajath, 28 working in a corporate office as a senior HR.  I'm shy and I love solitude.  And I really don't socialize even this wedding wasn't  interested one until I knew the wedding is Cariyapa's grand daughter Deeksha, a well known neighbour of us and my friend too.

You might be wondering even in this era why we aren't connected in any of the social media . Because I left this place in 2004, I was 14 years old and bengaluru environment made me to never visit my native. This is one of the reason,  the actual reason is my paternal grandparents cheated on us and I had to live in my mother's place and that's Chikamangaluru. And I never felt like I belong here and I hate socializing.

Let me cherish my childhood days where I was the senior most and Deeksha was next one, followed by brother Rohith and Preksha ,the youngest and my first love.  I can't term that as it's a love because she was 5 years younger than me and we were young.

So just thought of bringing back the memories. It is absolutely a Sandalwood Ganesh movie feels. Rohith visited this place for couple of times and I was like a alien to them. We landed their home first.  Deeksha's mom welcomed us.  I was frustrated as many new faces . Rohith said Deekshaa congratulations, I turned behind and nothing much was changed in her appearance. She was as pretty  as before. I smiled and conveyed my greetings.  She said Rajath do you remember us?  Damn it's 14 years ago we met.  You are so stubborn.  Rohith interfered and said he is busy person not like you  and your monkey sister. Deeksha smiled and took a move.  I got a call from my client and went out of the gathering,  my mother followed me and said Rajath dont attend the calls for a week.  Enjoy with us. Take a break from your past.  I smiled and nodded. As I  moved for a while, I was pushed and my mobile got broke.  My dress got dirty and I fell on ground.  I screamed as aye girl,  the girl who was chasing a dog ,she paused and  she stretched her hand to help. She said oh you Mr. Rajath , the busy person, so called our best friend. I was blank for a while then I realized it was Preksha. I said hello,  her reply was ''hello?  How dare you not to accept my friend request in any of the social platform,  I have been stalking you since years. Damn boy you seem so old,  where's Rohith, he promised 4 years ago that he would take me for a trek ,is he in living area? " She was questioning and answering herself. I was very irritated so I said shut up and get lost. She glared and said I'm happy that your phone broke,  I wish your bone had too.  And she ran away.

I sat in disguise in a car.  Rohith turned up to convey that amma would be staying in Deeksha's place for 3 days from tomorrow, tonight she would like to visit grandparents place.  I said okay.  But Rohith I'll be with grandparents. Rohith didn't respond. But for my bad luck, I saw my grandparents with Preksha.  I took blessings from them and my grandma said Rohith ,Rajath you both look weak and tired. Rohith said ,maybe we have travelled so long made us weak.  I asked grandpa,  what made you bring here? They said Preksha pulled us here and said until the knot session we have to be here. And we couldn't deny her. As they went forward to entrance of the door ,  Preksha took a step back and whispered you can't escape from me and she ran away.

I was irritated and happy for that butterfly feels. Yet I knew this isn't fair and nothing would change me in the subject called feelings.  With utmost suffocation I went and settled in the room which they provided.

Let me halt the story narration here. Because I got to freshen up. Bye!
